You are bidding on the only known surviving 1958 Checker Model A9 taxicab produced by the Checker Cab Manufacturing Co. of Kalamazoo, Michigan. This particular Checker was produced on the first day of production in the fall of 1958, it was the number 6 car off the line. It is essentially the oldest survivor Checker in the series produced from 1958 till 1982! According to the Checker Car Club of America, this is the only known surviving 1958 A9.
