As far as I can tell, I am the 4th owner of this 1989 Volkswagen Vanagon GL. The first two owners apparently lived out west (beginning as a new dealer sold vehicle in 1990). The 3rd owner was my neighbor's son (near Richmond, VA) --- who bought the van in the 2000-2001 timeframe. He had the engine rebuilt in Denver (very solid rebuild job) just before I bought it from him. From 2001 through 2011, I steadily replaced many parts in the Vanagon.
