I bought this in 08, immediately yanked the tired 283 and Powerglide and sold them off, found a nice 350 with Edelbrock carb/manual choke and intake, covers etc and 700R4 and put it in. Dual exhaust with good mufflers were custom made and installed. I replaced all 4 coil springs and rebuilt the entire steering/front end last year as well as the drive shaft center bearing.
