On the block is a 1974 VW Superbeetle. I have enjoyed doing a light restoration to this little bug, and as often happens, before I have completely finished a new project has caught my eye, and in keeping with the deal I made with the CFO (my dear wife), if a new one comes in, something has to go. This is a running and driving beetle. I replaced the transmission with a rebuilt unit from Rancho in California, and it shifts well and doesn't pop out of gear like the old one did.
